I love Christmas! Finishing 2023 with a win on the field was just an added bonus to a brilliant year! Our final months at Hogwarts has been everything I hoped for, so here's to the next few being just as great! Have a wicked Christmas, guys. See you all in 2024!

I decided to wait until everyone was at home and not within hitting distance to remind you all to keep practicing over the break. We might be on a winning streak right now, but the other teams will surely be working hard over the holidays to better us in the new year. I want to see our name on that cup this year, you hear me? The only way that's happening is if we all keep sharp and keep working to better yourselves.
Have a great holiday, guys. Have a rest and enjoy yourselves. Merlin knows we've all earned it. But come back in the new year ready to wipe the pitch with our opponents!

This ball stuff is getting out of hand. No, I don't know what colour robes I'll be wearing and no, I won't be going naked. Oh, and no, I don't have a date yet. Groups of girls (and some boys, I can't really tell the difference), please stop giggling and muttering as I walk past. It's flattering and stuff, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. If you really want to ask me out, do it. There's a 50% chance I'll say yes. Or just don't! There's another month to go so I'm not really bothered. I sodding hate balls really. My main priorities are and have always been Quidditch, having an awesome time, and to a lesser degree school work. So, there you have it.
Speaking of Quidditch; Danvers, Malfoy? Your teams played brilliantly today. I can't wait to face you both. |

I need to ramble, so just let me. Please.
I can't get into this. I totally, absolutely, one hundred percent can not. This is my last year, the last chance I'll get to have fun and prove myself. To be a kid.
But I've been thinking about Penny. Penny fucking James. We all know how it turned out last time. The day we broke up, I lost my nerve and I lost us that match against Ravenclaw, remember? My head wasn't in the game and I fucking lost it. I can't afford to do it again. I have a Quidditch cup to win. We have a cup to win. I can't let any lingering feelings stop me. But what if I'm being stupid and I'm letting a good thing go? I mean, I know we broke up ages ago and honestly, I haven't thought about her for a long time. But then I found a picture in my trunk and now I can't stop. Just, look.
Why couldn't we have stayed happy? Why did she push me away? Was I not good enough or did I do something wrong? Guess I'll never know.
I'm sorry. I know you've both heard this before and you're probably dying to tell me to shut the fuck up, but I really need you guys right now. I need someone to either slap me or to take my mind off of this. Tell me this is bad. Unless it's good. Tell me the truth.

Well done to all of the Gryffindors who came to try out for the Quidditch team this evening! There was a lot of fresh talent and many old favourites, which is going to make for a difficult few days for me! I've got my work cut out, trying to pick a team out of the lot of you. One thing is certain, we Lions will be a force to be reckoned with this year!
Both the team and the reserves will be posted on the common room notice board some time this week! Keep your eyes peeled for it!

Gryffindors; try outs for the Quidditch team will be held on SEPTEMBER 16TH after dinner. That's 6:30PM. Just because you were on the team last year, doesn't mean you will definitely be assigned a spot this year. Only people who are serious about making the team need apply. Yadda, yadda, yadda. You should know the drill by now.
I expect to see you there with bells on! Not literally, for those who think that would be funny. Turn up with literal bells attached to your person and you won't even get a try out. I'm not even kidding.

I am so ready to head back to school now. I need consistency! The summer has been awesome, but I'd like to get back into a routine. Plus, I miss having people to talk to! Sure, my parents are wicked (as far as parents go), and so is the team. But It'll be nice to speak to people my own age again. You all know how much I love to talk, so being restricted for so long has been driving me nuts!
